This month I am going to talk about how to get amazing grades in college while still having a great time. The key to having complete success in college is to be very balanced in what you do. If you know that you have an exam coming up in less than a week, it is probably not a good idea to go out to a party.
The most important part of college is getting good grades, and then partying and making great memories. Managing your time plays a huge role in your potential success. The kids that are getting C’s and D’s on exams are the kids that try to cram for an exam two nights before. I cannot stress enough how important it is to not cram for exams. Give yourself at least five days to study, and then by the time your exam comes, you will be extremely prepared.
The reason why I have a 4.0 right now (humble brag) is because I know how to manage my time, I know when to party, and I know when not to party. Going to class is also a very important thing. College is not like high school. You will not be sitting in a desk for six hours every day. At the most, you’ll probably have three classes a day.
You should treat college like a job. Grind on your work from 10-5, and then after that you can do whatever you want. Get your homework done early in the week, study on Mondays and Tuesdays when you can, and really learn to manage your time. If you do those things, you’ll get good grades, and you’ll be able to have a blast on the weekend. A lot of kids that I know have flunked out because of excessive partying; don’t make that mistake.
